I grew up in the Santa Clarita Valley, attending Highlands Elementary, Arroyo
Seco Jr. High, and Saugus High School. I went to Cal State Long Beach where
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies. After
graduating, I completed a program through the University of LaVerne in which
I received my Teaching Credential and Master's Degree in Education.
I have been with the Saugus Union School District since 1996. I worked as a
counselor for the childcares, I was a substitute teacher, and this is my
17th year teaching. As a childcare counselor and a substitute teacher, I
worked with all grade levels. As a teacher, I taught 6th grade for seven
years, and 5th grade for one year. I am very excited to begin my ninth year
teaching 3rd grade!
I have an amazing husband, Christopher, who is the Theatre
Arts Director at West Ranch High School. We have four children: Jonathan 16;
Jeremy 13; Justin 10; and Joseph 9. We are excited to welcome our 5th child in February!
